Covid - We are open - March 2020

Hello,

I hope that you are keeping safe and well. Perhaps you are, like me, finding it easy to become overwhelmed with everything that is going on right now? I thought I would update you on how things are working here in the workshop and how things may change.

My stockists are all closed but I am still taking orders online.

The Workshop

I would love to keep working and creating jewellery for you for as long as I possibly can. I am working from my home-based workshop and so I'm able to socially distance very easily. It’s very little change from my usual day to day making. There may become issues with getting materials but at the moment they are available and I have plenty.

Although I am ensuring all pieces are sanitised before being sent out, the external wrapping is not, so I suggest you treat it with the same precautions as other mail that arrives in your home

Delivery

If you have a specific date in mind for your jewellery then please let me know when ordering.

I am using Royal Mail for delivery and limiting my post runs to once per week, therefore deliveries may be slightly slower than normal. You can check their site for the current information, advice and delivery details.

Some pieces are held in stock, and can be sent much quicker than ‘made to order’ items, if you would like to know what I have available just give me a call and we can have a chat. I’m trying to work out a way to put this online but it’s never that easy is it!

If you're buying a gift; I can send parcels to any address, and I can send orders to multiple locations. Each piece is boxed and tied with a bow, and an individual message can be added for no extra cost.

Running A Small Business

I am so grateful for my studio and workbench to keep a little normality whilst we all try to figure out how to function in this reality. I will keep the business going for as long as possible. We still have birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate, love to show, gifts to send and the need to feel special. I hope to be able to adapt and create new offerings for you, to allow me to continue making as I have for the past 17 years.

I'm hoping to be able to use this time positively, to explore new ideas and designs and share them with you on Instagram and Facebook. I am enjoying the distraction of watching potters, painters, dancers and calligraphers in their art, and have been inspired by people's creativity and positivity so I hope to join in with some jewellery making videos of my own. I hope to see you there very soon.

Until next time,

Take care, and stay safe.

With my very best wishes,

Mel xo
